Nature of the Service

Grainger County Released Inmates is not a government website. It stores no official jail, court, or correctional record and cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or submit a filing. The service points visitors toward Grainger County and Tennessee inmate-record resources and may connect users with outside research tools.

Official decisions and records remain with the Sheriff’s Department, detention facility, court clerk, Tennessee Department of Correction, Board of Parole, or other responsible agency. A description or link here is not an official agency statement.

Acceptable Use Rules

You agree to use the site lawfully and without harming other people or the service. In particular, you must not:

• violate a law or another person’s rights;
• stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone;
• base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site information;
• attempt access to an account, server, or area without authorization;
• operate bots, automated scrapers, or mass extraction tools; or
• overload, disable, or disrupt access for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

Grainger County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide credit reports, background checks, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use information obtained here for:

• hiring, firing, or another employment decision;
• tenant selection, housing access, or lease decisions;
• creditworthiness, lending, or insurance premiums;
• licenses, permits, or eligibility for a government benefit; or
• any other decision regulated by the FCRA.

External Websites and Tools

The site links to release records, government portals, sheriff and corrections resources, legal-aid information, and outside search providers. A link is supplied for convenience and does not mean that we endorse the operator. We are not responsible for an outside site’s content, accuracy, privacy practices, security, or availability. Review that operator’s terms before using its service.

Service Without Warranties

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranty that:

• information is accurate, complete, or current;
• access will be continuous or uninterrupted;
• the service contains no error, defect, or security weakness; or
• a partner search will return every relevant result.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official confirmation from Grainger County, a sheriff, a jail, a court, TDOC, or another public body.

Limits of Liability

To the greatest extent permitted by applicable law, Grainger County Released Inmates and its owners, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the site or a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site, its owners, and its service partners from claims, loss, liability, and reasonable legal fees resulting from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless a separate notice says otherwise, the text, original graphics, logo, layout materials, and code belong to Grainger County Released Inmates or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, publish, modify, or create a derivative work from protected material without prior written permission.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated terms are posted on this page. Continued use after posting means that you accept the revised terms.

Suspension of Access

We may restrict, suspend, or end access to all or part of the service at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice. This right includes action taken to protect the service, its users, or third parties.

Tennessee Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Tennessee. References to public records on other pages concern the Tennessee Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 10-7-501 et seq., but that law does not turn this private service into a public agency.

Severability of Provisions

If a court finds any provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in force. The affected term will be limited or adjusted only to the extent needed to make it lawful and enforceable.
